How EPR Can Help Tackle Air Pollution

In this video Professor Slawo Lomnicki, from The Department of Environmental Sciences at Louisiana State University, discusses his research on air pollution from combustion sources. He elaborates on the usefulness of EPR for at looking for organic free-radicals in the air, and how the technology has improved so that a small, desktop instrument can now be used measure small samples with extreme sensitivity. The implications for human health and the potential of the technology to help inform policy makers and communities of the impacts of these free-radicals is also discussed.
