Stem cell exosome production on the SciVario twin, a flexible controller for your bioprocess needs

27 May 2021

Despite the benefits of stem cell use, there are limitations, including the large-scale production of cells that mimic physiological conditions. Therefore, increasing the mass production of exosomes in a controlled environment is the necessary next step.

In this application note, Eppendorf monitored and analyzed the metabolites derived from human induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (hiPSC) as well as cell adhesion and morphology.

Bioprocessing / FermentationBioprocessing is the use of biological materials to perform commercial, scientific or medical research processes. Biological materials used include cells, enzymes and organisms. Usually bioprocessing requires a batch or continuous bioreactor such as a fermentor or cell culture system. The advantages of using a reactor include high productivity, easy configuration, adjustable values and automation.Stem Cell ResearchStem cells have the ability to produce identical daughter cells as well as progeny, which commit and differentiate. Stem cell research has exciting prospects of biomedical applications in cellular disease modeling, pharmaceutical screening, and regenerative medicine.
