Improved Stabilization and Reduction of Particulate Formation in Protein Drug Formulations Using Recombinant Human Albumin (rAlbumin Human USP-NF)
13 May 2014This poster demonstrates that a recombinant HSA (rAlbumin) derived from yeast is a safe excipient candidate with a well-documented stabilizing effect including aggregation prevention in liquid and lyophilized protein formulations and also prevention of drug depletion and degradation caused by surface adsorption/effects.

ProteomicsProteomics is the systemic bioinformatics study of proteins and amino acids, including their structure, size, function and identification. Tools used in proteomics include chromatography, blotting and gels, protein arrays, mass spectrometry and ELISA and associated analysis software. Analyzers and proteomic systems should be sensitive, high resolution, fast and may be automated for high-throughput.Drug DeliveryDrug Delivery refers to dosage form, route of administration, formulations, technologies, and systems for transporting a pharmaceutical compound in the body as needed to safely achieve its desired therapeutic effect. Drug delivery is often approached via the biopharmaceutical or small molecule drug's formulation, but it may also involve medical devices or drug-device combination products. Considerations include instrumentation, software and services. AggregationProtein DetectionProtein detection techniques are essential for understanding protein expression, localization, and function. Methods such as western blotting, ELISA, and mass spectrometry are commonly used in research and diagnostics. Browse our peer-reviewed product directory to find the best tools for protein detection, compare products, check reviews, and get pricing directly from manufacturers.FormulationFormulation is the process of combining active pharmaceutical ingredients with excipients to produce a drug which is both stable and active.
