Isolating killer cells from a layer of HeLa cells

This video presents a demonstration of isolating killer t cells from HeLa cells using the MMI CellEctor. Killer cells were co-cultivated with HeLa cells. Once the killer cell has killed some of the HeLa cells, the killer cell is gently detached from the HeLa layer with the CellEctor microcapillary for subsequent molecular analysis.

MMI – Microdissection – Micromanipulation - Imaging

MMI - your partner providing unique competence in microdissection, micromanipulation and imaging. We specialize in

  • Laser “CapSure” microdissection to isolate cells in tissue (CellCut)
  • Multi-functional and microscope-integrated Whole Slide Imaging (CellScan)
  • Capillary-based selective isolation of single cells (CellEctor)
  • Optical tweezers to quantify minimal biological forces (CellManipulator)

We understand that your lab equipment needs to meet the particular demands of your individual research projects in cell biology, pathology, cancer research, oncology or plant research - in any project where you do not want to average out meaningful data, but focus on single cells.
