Simultaneous Detection and Quantification of Δ9THC, 11-OH-Δ9THC and Δ9THC-COOH in Whole Blood by GC Tandem Quadrupole MS

14 Jun 2012

A sensitive and reliable method for cannabinoids detection in human whole blood is presented here. The procedure involves extraction of a 1mL specimen acidified with 0.1mL of 10% acetic acid into hexane/ethyl acetate in the presence of deuterated standards. After evaporation, the drug and its metabolites were derivatized by methylation.
