A thin silicone layer of lubrication is commonly used to ensure optimal cartridge operation in pen devices for drug delivery. In this application note, Bouncer is used to measure the thickness, distribution and mass of silicone coating an insulin cartridge, illustrating its use for optimizing siliconization.
