Influence of heating rates on the thermostability characterization of antibodies by DLS and SLS

21 Jul 2022

In this application note, the DynaPro® NanoStar® was used to study the impact of ramp rate on the apparent thermostability of trastuzumab (Her-ceptin), a commercially available mAb applied in the treatment of breast cancer. This study examined the effects of heating rate on the measured value of Tonset.

AntibodiesAntibodies are used in techniques such as confocal and fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, immunohistochemistry, western blotting and immunopreciptation. Select specific antigen reactivity, high specific affinity, low non-specific binding, monoclonal or polyclonal, primary or secondary antibodies and associated conjugates such as an enzyme or dye for visualization.Dynamic Light ScatteringDynamic light scattering is used to measure the size distribution of particles in suspension by analyzing the way light scatters off them. It is commonly used in materials science, nanotechnology, and protein characterization.
