This application note demonstrates how a new preparative Axia column packing process and hardware design, used in conjunction with a reliable, easy-to-use guard column, the SecurityGuard PREP, can improve column lifetime and productivity in high throughput drug discovery labs. The pressure to produce larger amounts of purified drug intermediates and the subsequent drop in sample preparation can result in column decay leading to system shut down and incomplete runs.
