Hybcode PCR Technology for Rapid C. Diff Detection

17 Feb 2012

When Clostridium difficile (C.diff) is acquired in a hospital setting by patients on antibiotics, endotoxins released by colonization can cause pseudomembranous colitis. This poster describes how revolutionary hybcode technology can provide a fast and simple PCR method for simultaneous detection of multiple C. diff genes.

Hybcell - DNA or protein microarray

Anagnostics Bioanalysis

Anagnostics' hybcell is the world's first DNA or protein microarray based on the use of cylinders instead of slides. hybcell technology is... KINETIC - by means of consecutive scans, FAST - with help of rotational sample agitation, FLEXIBLE - due to fixed starting temperatures, flexible temperature profiles and computer-controlled buffer exchange and EFFICIENT - by automated processing and electronically documenting of up to 96 samples in a single run.

Hyborg - cylindrical DNA and protein analysis

Anagnostics Bioanalysis

Hyborg is a fully automated device for processing and analysing hybcells (cylindrical DNA and protein microarrays). Hyborg integrates thermocycler, hybridisation station and scanner into a single device. All processing steps - from temperature profiles or exchange of liquids to multi-color scanning - are computer-controlled and documented. Hyborg's concept of totally integrated automation guarantees maximum reproducibility of assays. Autonomous processing of up to 96 hybcells reduces hands-on-time to a minimum and provides maximum ease of use.

Clinical GeneticsMolecular Genetics covers the analysis of hereditary genetic disease and chromosomal abnormalities. Genetics can be analysed using DNA, RNA, and protein microarrays, PCR, RT PCR and DNA sequencing. Genetic equipment includes genetic workstations, thermal cyclers, cooling blocks and electrophoresis products. Diagnostic kits are used for DNA / RNA extraction and purification.Clinical MicrobiologyMicrobiology is the study of microorganisms including protists, prokaryotes, fungi, and, often, viruses. Microorganisms are a useful research tool as genetic vectors and, in immunology, for antibiotic susceptibility testing, cellular biology and genetics. Microorganisms commonly grow readily in incubators with microbial culture media; this can contain chromogenic supplements to differentiate between cell lines. Estimate your culture’s density of microorganisms with colony counters, or screen and select colonies for desirable clones with automated colony pickers. Additionally, equipment is available to monitor environments for the presence of microbes and identify with microbial identification instruments.
