29 Nov 2019In this application note, BUCHI uses a classical Soxhlet extraction method to extract oil from chia seeds and then encapsulates these to be protected from oxidation. Oil was recovered by evaporating the solvent on a Multivapor™ P-6, a dry powder was produced using the Mini Spray Dryer B-290, and wet particles were produced by coextrusion technology using an Encapsulator B-395 Pro.
