FlowCAT – A Versatile Continuous Flow Reactor System Focusing on Reactions Under Elevated Pressure and/or Involving Heterogeneous Catalysis
23 Nov 2012The FlowCAT is a small scale high pressure flow reactor unit ideally suited to heterogeneous catalysis under pressure, but is able to handle all-liquid chemistries even down to atmospheric pressure. In this application note the use of the FLowCAT from HEL Ltd is demonstrated with numerous reactions. The FlowCAT is extremely simple to use and opens up the possibility of doing pressure reactions, including hydrogenations, in normal laboratories by chemists who are not specialists in pressure equipment.

Combinatorial ChemistryCombinatorial chemistry, also known as combichem, is a technique used in drug discovery to create libraries of structurally related compounds. A library is generated by synthesis with a chemical reactor system or by computer-based modeling of compound combinations. When undertaking combinatorial chemistry consider reagents, buffers, resins and standards.Process ChemistryProcess chemistry is an important stage of drug development for scaling-up drug production or chemical synthesis reactions. It is useful for optimizing economical and efficient drug production. Process chemistry uses reactors and pump systems as well as reagents, standards and buffers.Pressure Control
