This study investigated the metabolic features of immortalized cell lines from different parts of the intestine in comparison to a hepatocyte cell line by measuring the oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) with the Seahorse Extracellular Flux Analyzer (XF24) under various conditions.
