A novel test for hard to diagnose emergency department patients suspected of acute infection and sepsis

5 Sept 2024

Inflammatix™ is developing the TriVerity™ Acute Infection and Sepsis Test* – a rapid test that will inform on key clinically actionable questions: Does the patient have a bacterial or viral infection or a non-infectious condition? and Is the patient likely to need ICU-level intervention? The TriVerity™ test results will provide actionable information by placing patients into diagnostic quadrants based on their risk of bacterial infection, viral infection, and illness severity. Explore how the TriVerity test fits routine clinical workflows.

*The TriVerity Acute Infection and Sepsis Test System is not for sale, and does not have marketing approval or clearance from regulatory authorities in any jurisdiction. The features described may change during the development process.

Immunology kits and analysis systems often use techniques such as ELISA, radioimmunoassay (RIA) and immunodiffusion assays, Immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. Immunologists use equipment such as flow Cytometers, plate readers, plate washers and fluorescent microscopes.Clinical ChemistryBiochemistry (or clinical chemistry) involves the analysis of bodily fluids using chemical tests. Techniques used include HPLC, chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, immunochemical, electrophoresis, turbidometric / spectrophotometric assay, MRI and ISE analysis. Tests are often carried out on plasma or serum but urine (urinalysis) and fecal specimens are also processed.SepsisSepsis is a life-threatening response to infection causing organ dysfunction. Research focuses on early detection, biomarkers, and therapies to reduce mortality.
