Turbiscan tower is easy to use, but it's sometimes difficult to read the results, but we have a great service when we have questions. It's fun to be able to have a service in French too.

The TURBISCAN TOWER is a 6-sample macroscopic & colloidal stability analyzer and the flagship product of the TURBISCAN range. Based on the powerful SMLS technology it offers fast, precise, and quantitative stability measurement of formulations (emulsions, suspensions, foams).

Benefits:

  • Accelerated destabilization detection – up to 1,000 x faster than visual observation thanks to SMLS
  • 6 independent measurement positions
  • Real stability: sample stability analysis without the need for dilution or mechanical stress, in concentrations up to 95%
  • Temperature range from 4°C to 80°C to accelerate measurement times and observe destabilization under real storage conditions
  • Quantitative measurements of dispersion stability and shelf-life, migration velocity, particle size diameter, and other parameters
  • One-click stability ranking with the TURBISCAN Stability Index
  • Laboratory space is precious: minimized instrument footprint
  • Front LCD screen with measurement status and stability results

Applications:

  • Chemistry
  • Cosmetics
  • Food & Beverages
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • MWFs
  • Paints, inks, coatings
  • Electronics & batteries

Synergistic approaches in zeta potential and stability analysis for advanced research

Download this in-depth application note to explore how combining STABINO ZETA and TURBISCAN technologies from Microtrac enhances formulation development from raw material extraction to final product stability—faster, without dilution, and more reliably.

In this case study, discover how Microtrac’s instruments were used to:

  • Optimize protein extraction via zeta potential and isoelectric point (IEP) measurements
  • Analyze salt impact on proteins through automated titration
  • Identify the most stable emulsion with real-time, dilution-free stability profiling

Whether you're working on complex emulsions or novel biomaterials, this real-world study demonstrates how a data-driven approach can help you save time, reduce guesswork, and formulate with confidence.

Food powder reconstitution online rehydration study

Rehydrated powders such as milk and protein powders play a crucial role in a variety of food products. They offer extended shelf life and contribute to a reduced carbon footprint due to lower water content during transportation. The quality and stability of the final product depend significantly on the complete rehydration and dispersion process of these food powders. Various factors, including particle size, porosity, and surface tension, influence the properties of the powder itself. Microtrac MRB introduces a methodology for the real-time, non-dilution, and rapid measurement of the reconstitution of food powders.
