Cytotoxicity
As far as simplicity goes, this spectrophotometer is hard to beat. For day-to-day use with or without a connected pc compared to our old spectrophotometer it excels at readout speed and assay setup. We mainly use it for endpoint cytotoxicity assay analysis and protein / DNA content analysis (thanks to a handy μDrop plate). High readout accuracy is expected from a modern spectrophotometer and in this department, it also does not disappoint. The software is also very clear and intuitive (the same as in the Varioskan lux) but for fast and simple tasks we often use the integrated LCD screen. This device is also very easy to use for beginner users, even our students can use it without an issue within 15 minutes of training.
