Thermo Scientific™ TSQ Certis™ triple quadrupole mass spectrometer

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced the Thermo Scientific™ TSQ Certis™ triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (MS) – a purpose-built, next-generation system designed to deliver faster, more reliable results with increased uptime across a wide range of industries, from analytical sciences to routine testing.

The TSQ Certis MS boosts productivity and reliability with a rugged design proven to handle 10,000+ injections without cleaning, extending system performance and minimizing maintenance. This makes TSQ Certis MS a versatile solution for labs analyzing drugs, the environment, diseases and food contaminants — where uninterrupted performance and consistent results are critical to meeting testing demands.

With increased vaporizer temperatures in the Thermo Scientific™ OptaMax™ Plus ion source, this system enhances ionization efficiency and delivers stronger, more sensitive detection. As a result, scientists can identify compounds at trace levels with ease, helping them meet increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.

The TSQ Certis MS is also built for speed, scanning more than 900 selected reaction monitoring (SRM) transitions per second. And smart, predictive software helps reduce downtime, while pre-set methods make it easy for anyone to work efficiently – maximizing productivity in high-throughput labs.

The TSQ Certis MS is integrated with Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™  Chromatography Data System (CDS) the TSQ Certis MS to support seamless compliance, offering secure data traceability, audit trails and electronic signatures, all with enterprise software capabilities to effectively scale and accommodate over 1,000 instruments.

"By making science easier and more reliable, the TSQ Certis MS helps analytical scientists find answers to important problems, such as detecting harmful chemicals in food at even trace levels or quantifying complex therapeutic molecules like GLP-1 analogs,” said Pushkin Pant, vice president and general manager of Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry, Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Mass SpectrometryMass spectrometry (MS) is a powerful analytical technique used to identify and quantify molecules based on the mass-to-charge ratio of gas-phase ions. It provides detailed information about the structure, composition, and properties of compounds and is widely used across fields such as environmental monitoring, materials science, drug discovery and development, food and beverage testing, and wider chemical research. Key MS techniques include tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LS-MS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS). Choosing from these wide range of techniques and technologies can be a daunting task, so keep up to date with scientific applications, performance expectations, and customer reviews here all in one place.
