SNF5 rabbit antibody (pAb), sample
SNF5 (Sucrose Non Fermenting 5, also called INI1, BAF47 and SMARCB1) is a tumor suppressor protein that is a component of the SWI/SNF chromatin-remodeling complex that regulates gene expression through alterations in chromatin structure. Alterations in chromatin structure facilitated by ATP-dependant chromatin remodeling machines are thought to enhance recognition and binding of trans-acting factors that bind DNA and regulate transcription. SNF5 signals through the p16INK4a pathway to negatively regulate cell cycle progression and mediate chromosome stability. Mutations in SNF5 are a cause of malignant rhabdoid tumors in children.
