MRG15 rabbit antibody (pAb), sample
MRG15 (MORF4-Related Gene 15) is the homologue of the yeast Eaf3 protein, a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histone H2A and H4. This modification may both alter nucleosome - DNA interactions and promote interaction of the modified histones with other proteins which positively regulate transcription. MRG15 is conserved from yeast to humans and contains an N-terminal Chromodomain and the gene is essential for embryonic viability in mice.
