Using Infrared Detection Increases SNR by 3.5 Fold on Nitrocellulose Colorimetric Assay-Labeled Protein Microarrays.
8 Oct 2012The sensitivity and dynamic range of colorimetric protein assays on nitrocellulose supports requires a detection method that produces low background levels on the array. Accuracy demands objective assessment of very small spots found in higher density, highly multiplexed arrays. In this application note, the Innopsys InnoScan 710IR scanner uses infra-red detection to improve sensitivity by 3-5 fold, improve quantitative resolution between analytes and improve the multiplex capacity of the calorimetric protein assay.

Microarray AnalysisMicroarrays, also known as biochips, are used for the detection and analysis of multiple genes, proteins, antibodies, or biomarkers on a single microchip. This can reveal information on protein or gene expression, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), copy number variation (CNV), epigenetics and patient health in clinical diagnostic tests. Discover a range of microarray scanners and prefabricated antibody, protein, RNA and DNA microarrays for your analysis or consider creating your own custom microarrays with a microarray printer.
