Use of GC-NCI-MS/MS for Quantification of THC from Hair Samples
24 Apr 2014Analyzing THC in hair offers advantages over blood and urine samples, as it is possible to prove regular cannabis consumption. However the absorption of THC-COOH into hair is very low, making quantitation challenging due to the very high sensitivity required. This application note details a reliable method for the analysis of THC-COOH in hair samples on the SCION triple quadrupole gas chromatography mass spectrometer (GC-MS/MS).
