The Perfect Print: Latent Fingerprint Processing with Ductless Chambers
27 Jun 2017In forensic science, accurate, repeatable results solve crimes. Latent fingerprinting is a common method of making invisible fingerprints visible. Cyanoacrylate reacts with trace chemicals excreted through the pores in the fingertip to produce an image of the entire latent fingerprint. Safefume™ Cyanoacrylate fuming chambers are designed to safely develop latent fingerprints using ethyl cyanoacrylate (CNA) vapor in a controlled environment for optimum effectiveness and safety, where moisture and fuming time are critical factors. Fume Hoods and CabinetsFume hoods and biological safety cabinets are designed to provide personnel, sample and environmental protection by limiting exposure to hazardous materials. Safety cabinets are classified as class I, class II or class III and methods of contamination reduction include filters or air flow such as in laminar flow cabinets.
