The BIOSTAT® ORB Large Scale Shaken Single Use Bioreactor for the Biopharmaceutical Industry: Use and Applications
19 Dec 2014Sartorius has recently introduced a novel technology in the field of single use bioreactors. The BIOSTAT® ORB is a single use bioreactor based on a proven shaker agitation principle and can offer a cost-efficient alternative to other single use technologies existing in the market. This application note describes the principles of this new technology as well as instructions on setting up its process parameters. Finally, cultivation data will be presented confirming the BIOSTAT® ORB to be a worthy alternative to existing technologies.
