Simplified sample preparation for plasma proteomics
4 Jun 2024Plasma proteomics plays a crucial role in studying human health and disease by providing a comprehensive view of an individual's physiological state. Mass spectrometry (MS) is utilized for proteome analysis due to its high sensitivity and specificity. In this application note, Tecan describes a study focused on implementing a simplified and automated sample preparation workflow for plasma proteomics using the ENRICH-iST technology on a Fluent® Automation Workstation with the Resolvex® i300 module. Automation of the ENRICH-iST process on the Fluent system streamlines the workflow from plasma samples to dried peptides, ensuring reproducibility and scalability for large cohort studies.
