Optimizing ion exchange technology in laboratory water purification systems
19 Mar 2012The aim of the study presented in this poster was to outline the limitations of conventional single cartridge ion exchange resin cartridges and the limitations of in-line resistivity monitoring. The second goal was to determine the benefits of twin resin-bed cartridges with multi-stage resistivity monitoring in ultrapure water purification systems.

Water PurificationThere are a number of water purification methods available to remove contamination from laboratory water. These systems include demineralization, reverse osmosis, filtration and ultrafiltration. A combination of methods is sometimes necessary to achieve purified water suitable for use in experiments.Ion ExchangeUltrapure WaterUltrapure water is the highest purity water and contains the lowest levels of organic and inorganic contaminants, particulates and microorganisms.
