Optimized Control of Sour Water With ISM pH Electrode

The installation of a pH and conductivity measuring system alows control of sour water on-line without damaging electrodes. Sour water is responsible for most corrosion processes in petrochemical plants' pipes, heaters, coolers and columns therefore its important to neutralize this water as soon as possible. In this application note, Mettler Toledo present the ISM pH Electrode as a solution to this problem without the additional challenges presented by traditional pH electrodes.
