Multiplexed biofilm enrichment

27 Oct 2022

In this application note, Gamry demonstrates how to apply different potentials to each channel of the 8-channel IMX8 multiplexer simultaneously, allowing multiple experiments to be controlled with the same equipment providing the user with the ability to run up to eight sets of electrodes simultaneously.

IMX8™ Electrochemical Multiplexer

Gamry Instruments

The IMX8™ Electrochemical Multiplexer is an affordable way to expand the throughput of your lab. Experiments can be sequentially multiplexed on up to 8 channels. The IMX8™ is ideal for corrosion inhibitor testing, EIS evaluation of paints/coatings, monitoring of field probes for corrosion tests, and chemical sensor development.

Non-Destructive TechniquesNon-destructive techniques (NDT) describes a variety of analytical techniques used to evaluate the properties of a material. Common methods include ultrasonic, magnetic-particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, remote visual inspection (RVI), and eddy-current testing. NDT is regularly used in forensic engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, aeronautical engineering, and medicine.BiofuelElectrochemistryMultiplexingMultiplexing refers to the ability to measure multiple targets or analytes simultaneously in a single experiment. This technique is valuable for high-throughput screening, diagnostics, and complex assays, as it increases efficiency and data quality.
