Multimodal In Vivo Fluorescent, Luminescent and X-ray Imaging in Preclinical Studies of Inflammation and Immunobiology

Multimodal In Vivo Fluorescent, Luminescent and X-ray Imaging in Preclinical Studies of Inflammation and Immunobiology

5 Dec 2017

This application provides an overview of representative reports on inflammation and immunobiology research performed using the Bruker In-Vivo optical imaging platforms. Preclinical models of inflammation and immunobiology in infection, orthopedics, autoimmunity, and oncology are now routinely employed. Preclinical optical imaging allows researchers to longitudinally monitor molecular and cellular inflammatory markers. In general optical imaging, relative to standard in vivo studies, allows researchers to use fewer animals in studies of inflammation and immunobiology.

Data AnalysisData analysis hardware and software is available to make data processing straight-forward yet powerful. Data software can be used for math and stats, technical graphing and image analysis. In addition, software is available for specific data analysis of electrophoresis, densitometry, ELISA and DNA sequencing. In Vivo Imaging SystemsIn vivo imaging systems, including pre-clinical imaging systems and medical imaging systems are used to non-invasively visualize and capture images of live animals and plants. Monitor the natural processes or diseases of your subjects using small-animal pre-clinical imaging systems, including single photon positron emission tomography (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET), computed tomography (micro-CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-ray radiography, ultrasound, fluorescence and bioluminescence imagers. Multimodal systems and software solutions are also available for correlative analysis of organ, tissue, cell, or molecular-level processes. Fluorescence can be detected and measured for different purposes using microplate readers, fluorescence microscopes, fluorescence scanners, and flow cytometers.LuminescenceLuminescence techniques detect and measure light emitted by substances during chemical reactions or biological processes. Widely used in assays for diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and drug screening, luminescence-based methods offer high sensitivity.
