Introducing the PF460: A versatile solution for cannabis drying and decarboxylation

27 Mar 2023

In this application note, Verder Scientific describes decarboxylation, which is the process of heating a substance to remove a carboxyl group. Decarboxylation is essential for converting tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) found in cannabis into the psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol molecule (THC) for pharmaceutical and recreational cannabis manufacturing. The PF460 is designed for drying and decarboxylating cannabis at temperatures up to 200°C, allowing users to switch between optimum temperatures for both processes.
