In vitro protein synthesis of perdeuterated proteins for NMR studies
24 Nov 2025Perdeuteration of polypeptides is a useful technique for studying large polypeptides in solution, however this can be difficult to do in vivo. In this application note, Cambridge Isotope Laboratories summarizes work using cell-free synthesis methods employing both H2O-based and 2H2O-based E. coli cell-extracts for the non-uniform incorporation of 2H, 15N-labeled amino acids in vitro.
