The efficiency provided by Kinetex 2.6 μm C8 core-shell columns is shown in this note to reduce analysis times and increase productivity for the USP assay for norethindrone and mestranol. Several alternatives to shorter column lengths and adjustments to flow rate were used to illustrate how the increase in efficiency can be leveraged to provide a balance between increasing productivity and reducing solvent usage.
