Improved Productivity of Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell Culture Using Millicell HY Multilayer Culture Flasks

3 Sept 2014

Harvesting and analyzing stem cells from multiple culture vessels is a repetitive and time-intensive process that consumes valuable incubator space. This application note reports a method for expanding mouse embryonic stem cells (mESC) using a multilayer cell culture flask.

Millicell® HY Multilayer Culture Flasks

Merck

Each Millicell® HY (high yield) flask provides a consistent, quality growth environment across all layers, with the same volume of media in each layer. Recovering cells is as easy as growing them. With easy access to pipetting or pouring, Millicell® HY flasks deliver reproducible, high yields of healthy cells. Plus, they’ve been tested for use with stem cells.

Cell / Tissue CultureCell culture or tissue culture is used to study the biology of cells or tissues and to isolate cellular products in an environment which can be manipulated and well defined. Accurately control your culture environment with bioreactors or culture incubators, bind your cells to a surface or together with an extracellular matrix. Distinguish cell types with differential media or proliferate cells with certain characteristics using selective media. Enrich your media with supplements such as growth factors, sera and vitamins.
