Flow Chemistry Using Silica-Based SiliaMetS Metal Scavengers, SiliaBond Functionalized Silica Gels and SiliaCat Heterogeneous Catalysts
14 May 2014SiliCycle® has developed innovative silica-based metal scavengers (SiliaMetS), reagents (SiliaBond), and catalysts (SiliaCat), that can be successfully used in flow chemistry. SiliaMetS functionalized silica gels, SiliaBond reagents, and SiliaCat heterogeneous catalysts are great alternatives over competitive products often used in flow chemistry. Results of coupling and hydrogenation reactions using SiliaCat catalysts are presented in this poster. Metal removal using SiliaMetS Thiol and other reactions using SiliaBond reagents are also presented.

It includes a number of techniques covering structural biology, synthetic chemistry and molecular biology. Technologies used in medicinal chemistry include ADME, lab-on-a-chip, high content screening and assay assembly.Flow ChemistryFlow chemistry describes a chemical reaction being carried out continuously rather than in a batch process. The reagents are pumped through a pipe and forced together at a mixing junction, where they are allowed to combine until the reaction is stopped.Catalyst
