Fish Species Identification Using PCR-RFLP and the QIAxcel Advanced

23 Mar 2018

Despite a long history of regulation to maintain a healthy fish industry, mislabelling of fish species sold on the market still exists. Typically, PCR-RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism) is used for the identification of fish species, however this is a time-consuming method and requires special equipment. In this application note, the QIAxcel native capillary electrophoresis system as an alternative to conventional gel electrophoresis.
