Extraction of Vitamin D Metabolites From Human Plasma Using ISOLUTE® SLE+

1 Aug 2011

This application note from Biotage, describes a simple and robust procedure for the extraction of vitamin D metabolites from human plasma at clinically significant concentrations using ISOLUTE SLE+ supported liquid extraction plates. The latter is an efficient alternative to traditional liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) for bioanalytical sample preparation, providing high analyte recoveries, no emulsion formation, and significantly reduced sample preparation time.

ISOLUTE SLE+ Supported Liquid Extraction Products

Biotage

ISOLUTE® SLE+ plates and columns enable efficient supported liquid extraction of analytes from whole blood, plasma, serum, urine, and oral fluid. The simple load-wait-elute method delivers 99.9% removal of proteins and phospholipids without offline steps, offering superior recovery, reproducibility, and cleaner extracts than liquid-liquid extraction.
