17 Sept 2023In this application note, Kbiosystems introduces the Ultraseal PRO unit, an automated heat-applied microplate and tube rack sealer. The unit operates using a roll of surface-modified aluminum or plastic film, measuring approximately 78 mm wide and 610 m long. This roll is positioned at the rear of the sealing section via a removable stand. Using a total inline process, the film is drawn through the main unit, cut to a length between 125 mm and 130 mm, and then applied to the plate's top surface, creating a secure seal between the plate and the film.
