Corning® Enhanced Attachment Microcarriers Offer an Ideal Solution for Bioprocess Applications
22 Jul 2017Many biological drugs such as antibodies, hormones, and other factors are produced using engineered cell lines and microcarriers have been used as an alternative to traditional static cultures due to their ability to culture large quantities of adherent cells in a fraction of the space. In this study, M-CSF (macrophage colony stimulating factor) secreting engineered Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) line was effectively cultured using the Corning Enhanced Attachment Microcarriers. The data demonstrates how the Enhanced Attachment Microcarriers are an effective and user-friendly tool compared with an equivalent commercially available brand.
