Comparison of the Efficacy of the SeptiFast Kit (Roche) and FISH Methods in Detecting Bacteria in Whole Blood of Patients with Sepsis
22 May 2014In this study, three methods of analysis were compared for the detection of bacteria in the blood of patients with sepsis; SeptiFast (Roche), FISH and blood culture. The results of the study indicate that FISH and blood culture methods are superior to the SeptiFast Kit for bacterial detection.
