Cancer Immunotherapy Biomarker Profiling Assay
13 Aug 2017There is increasing evidence suggesting that the number, type, and location of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in primary tumors harbor prognostic value, and this has led to the development of a “tumor immunoscore / immune” index. The aim of this study was to perform molecular profiling of key immune-related genes, including drug targets, known biomarkers, and immune mechanisms to discover informative biomarkers that can be analyzed by conventional IHC/FACS assays.

BiomarkersBiomarkers are biological markers which can be measured and evaluated to indicate a biological state. The use of biomarkers in research and diagnosis can indicate a normal or disease state or drug response of cells / tissues. Biomarkers include genetic markers, cell surface markers such as antigens, antibodies or receptors and secreted molecules such as cytokines. An assay system is required for identification of biomarkers. :Cancer ResearchCancer research aims to understand the mechanisms of cancer development and progression to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
