Axon Axoclamp 900A Microelectrode Amplifier
30 Jul 2023In this product brochure, Molecular devices® provides an overview of The Axon™ Axoclamp™ 900A Amplifier. Like the Axoclamp 2B amplifier, the Axon Axoclamp 900A Amplifier offers several modes of operation that measure signals from single cells, tissue slices and whole animal preparations. The advanced signal conditioning included in the Axon Axoclamp 900A Amplifier is designed to save the expense of buying additional hardware and free up valuable space in an electrophysiology setup. By making the amplifier computer-controlled, several powerful new features have been added to make it simpler to set up and run experiments.

ElectrophysiologyElectrophysiology is the study of biological voltage changes, from a single ion channel through to a whole organ scale. Voltages can be measured using patch clamping, automated workstations, electrophysiology rigs or cell based assays. Specific cell lines, manipulators and microinjectors are also available for electrophysiology research.Cell AnalysisThe analysis of cells allows researchers to understand the factors which contribute to cell health and function. These influencing processes can then be predicted and altered, leading to the development of medication and disease treatments.Alzheimers ResearchAlzheimers disease is a neurodegenerative condition characterized by progressive memory loss and cognitive decline. Research focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the disease, as well as developing effective treatments and diagnostic tools.
