Automated Total Cell Counting Workflow with the InCellis Cell Culture App
22 May 2018Single cell based assays are a powerful tool for studying the effects of drugs and understanding protein interactions or signalling pathways. It is important however, to normalize the results of cell-based assays by calculating confluency and obtaining accurate cell counts. This poster demonstrates a new robust method for adherent cell counting in an automated fashion, using the Incellis cell culture app for the smart cell imaging system. A comparison with standard reference methods is demonstrated.

Cell-Based AssaysCell-based assays are used to monitor the presence, quantity and activities of a desired cellular analyte including drug molecules or biomarkers. This can reveal information on cell health (apoptosis, cytotoxicity, viability and proliferation assays), cell metabolism, cell migration and cell signaling mechanisms.
