Automated Genomic DNA Extraction Using sbeadex® Forensic Kits and KingFisher 96 Instrument
6 Mar 2013This application note describes a universal forensic DNA extraction protocol which can be used on a wide range of forensic materials without adaptation. The method demonstrates how the extraction of genomic DNA using the sbeadex® forensic kit can be automated using the Thermo Scientific KingFisher 96. Bringing down the processing time to approximately 30 minutes. This method can be utilized to extract DNA from several sample materials including buccal swabs, dried blood spots and chewing gum.
