Application of Maurice CE-SDS for Biopharmaceutical QC Workflows

22 Nov 2021

In this application note, Maurice™ CE-SDS is evaluated on assay performance and method validation characteristics that are important for QC analytical testing using three reference molecules. Bio-Techne demonstrates the application of Maurice CE-SDS to a QC-specific workflow that eliminates the use of a commercial IS, thereby removing potential concerns such as introducing contaminants to test samples and interfering with subsequent analyses.

Biopharmaceutical AdvancesBiopharmaceutical advances follow the development of pharmaceuticals derived from biotechnology, also known as biotechnology medicines. Biopharmaceuticals may be produced from cell lines, plants, or microbial cells. Important considerations of biopharmaceutical use include application, cost, production process and purification.Quality ControlQuality control is needed in all production processes. Quality control is a monitoring procedure or set of procedures that are put in place to ensure that a manufactured product adheres to a defined set of quality criteria. Contamination PreventionContamination prevention aims to control and minimize the risk of contamination during experiments. Biological safety cabinets and sterilization equipment are examples of technologies used to prevent contamination.Quality TestingQuality testing ensures that products meet required specifications and safety standards in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food, and materials. It is essential for maintaining product quality and consumer safety. Explore quality testing tools in our peer-reviewed product directory; compare products, check reviews, and get pricing directly from manufacturers.Assay DevelopmentThe process of proving an assay to be sensitive with respect to the target is known as assay development. The assay should be able to characterize novel compounds and measure the potency of these compounds against a validated biological target.
