Analysis of phosphorylated peptides using a bioinert column

22 May 2024

The YMC-Accura column hardware is designed to eliminate any interaction between sample and stainless steel due to a strict coating of column body and frit. It allows sharp peaks, stable recoveries and eliminates consequential carry-over effects. YMC Europe highlights results obtained with standard column hardware in comparison with the bioinert coated YMC-Accura Triart C18 column. All peptides were detected with much higher recovery rate than with the standard column hardware. Even challenging peptides can be analysed reproducibly. The use of bioinert YMC-Accura Triart columns has several benefits: higher recovery, better peak shapes, greater reproducibility, and little or no conditioning required.

Products to assist sample preparation include filtration equipment, evaporators, membranes and sieves.OligonucleotidesOligonucleotides are small nucleic acid polymers, usually less than 20 bases in length. Oligonucleotides can be made via enzymatic cleavage or more commonly by chemical synthesis with polymerases. Their use includes FISH, southern blots, microarrays and as primers in PCR. High fidelity synthesis kits and detection systems are available for easy production and detection, respectively.PeptidesPeptides are short chains of amino acids that play key roles in biological processes, including signaling, immune responses, and enzyme regulation. Peptide research is critical in drug discovery, diagnostics, and vaccine development.
