As such, they are characterized for absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME), and monitored for abuse, toxicology and efficacy. This application note from PerkinElmer demonstrates a fast, simple, and highly-effective method to quantify cyclic antidepressants in human plasma by combining a simple and robust sample preparation method with UHPLC and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (APCI LC/MS) analysis. This procedure has the potential to improve sample analysis throughput in clinical research and pharmacokinetic studies.
