A Preliminary FET Headspace GC-FID Method for Comprehensive Terpene Profiling in Cannabis
23 Jan 2015This application note describes an FET headspace GC-FID method that was developed for the analysis of terpenes in cannabis. Good chromatographic separation allowed quantification of critical compounds across the volatility range, including α-pinene, β-myrcene, α-humulene, β-caryophyllene, and caryophyllene oxide.

Gas ChromatographyGas chromatography (GC) is an analytical technique used to separate and quantitate mixtures of small and volatile compounds. Gas chromatographs or GC systems include components such as GC columns, detectors, pumps and autosamplers. Choose from packed or capillary GC columns, flame ionization (FID), photoionization (PID) electron capture detectors and selective or non-selective detectors.
