The CellTiter-Glo® 2.0 Assay provides a homogeneous method for determining the number of viable cells in culture by measuring the amount of ATP present, which indicates the presence of metabolically active cells. The CellTiter-Glo® 2.0 Assay is based on the original CellTiter-Glo® Assay chemistry but with improved storage convenience for easy implementation. The CellTiter-Glo® 2.0 Assay is provided as a single, ready-to-use re…

The CellTiter-Glo® Luminescent Cell Viability Assay(a,b) is a homogeneous method of determining the number of viable cells in culture based on quantitation of the ATP present, an indicator of metabolically active cells. The CellTiter-Glo® Assay is designed for use with multiwell formats, making it ideal for automated high-throughput screening (HTS), cell proliferation and cytotoxicity assays. The homogeneous assay procedure in…

The ApoTox-Glo™ Triplex Assay combines three assay chemistries to easily assess viability, cytotoxicity and apoptosis events in the same cell-based assay well. First, viability and cytotoxicity are determined by measuring two differential protease biomarkers simultaneously with the addition of a single nonlytic reagent containing two peptide substrates. The live-cell protease activity is restricted to intact viable cells and i…

The Griess Reagent System measures nitrite (NO2–), which is one of two primary stable and nonvolatile breakdown products of nitric oxide (NO). Nitric oxide is an important physiological messenger and effector molecule in many biological systems, including immunological, neuronal and cardiovascular tissues. This assay relies on a diazotization reaction that was originally described by Griess in 1879. Through the years, many mod…

The CellTox™ Green Cytotoxicity Assay measures changes in membrane integrity that occur as a result of cell death. The assay is intended to assess cytotoxicity in cell culture after experimental manipulation. The assay system uses a proprietry asymmetric cyanine dye that is excluded from viable cells but preferentially stains the DNA from dead cells. When the dye binds DNA released from cells, its fluorescence properties are s…

The ROS-Glo™ H2O2 Assay is a homogeneous, fast and sensitive bioluminescent assay that measures the level of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), a reactive oxygen species (ROS), directly in cell culture or in defined enzyme reactions.   This assay allows identification of conditions or test compounds, such as small molecule inhibitors or inducers, that alter ROS levels. The scalable multiwell format couples a stable luminescent si…

The AttoPhos® AP Fluorescent Substrate System provides a highly sensitive fluorescent alkaline phosphatase substrate.   The system includes AttoPhos® Substrate, AttoPhos® Buffer and Calibration Solution. AttoPhos® Substrate (2′-[2-benzothiazoyl]-6′-hydroxybenzothiazole phosphate [BBTP]) is cleaved by alkaline phosphatase to produce inorganic phosphate (Pi) and the alcohol, 2′-[2-benzothiazoyl]-6´-hydroxybenzothiazole (BB…

The CellTiter-Glo® 3D Cell Viability Assay is a homogeneous method to determine the number of viable cells in 3D cell culture based on quantitation of the ATP present, which is a marker for the presence of metabolically active cells.   This ready-to-use reagent is based on the original CellTiter-Glo® Luminescent Cell Viability Assay chemistry and eliminates the need to combine buffer with lyophilized substrate when prepa…

The Lactate-Glo™ Assay is a bioluminescent assay for rapid, selective and sensitive detection of L-lactate in biological samples. Lactate is produced by glycolysis, a major metabolic pathway responsible for glucose homeostasis and energy production (1,2). Once considered merely a byproduct of glycolysis, lactate is now considered an important regulatory molecule of intermediate metabolism involved in cancer development, diabet…

The Glucose-Glo™ Assay is a bioluminescent assay for rapid, selective and sensitive detection of glucose in biological samples.

A Fluorometric Method for Estimating the Number of Nonviable Cells Present in Multiwell Plates

Directly Measure HDAC-Test Compound Affinity and Residence Time in Live Cells

A Simple, Non-Radioactive Assay to Measure Glucose Uptake Inside Cells

Digitonin can be used in cell viability and cytotoxicity assays. It is a detergent solution useful for permeabilizing cells and for creating a cytotoxicity chemistry positive control. Supplied at 20mg/ml in DMSO

LDH-Glo™ Cytotoxicity Assay detects cell death from a small number of cells, including 3D cell cultures, based on the release of lactate dehydrogenase.

The RealTime-Glo™ MT Cell Viabiilty Assay measures viability of cells in a non-lytic, real-time live-cell format, saving time, cells and reagent costs.

The RealTime-Glo™ Annexin V Apoptosis and Necrosis Assay provides a no-wash, one-step Annexin V assay that allows continual monitoring of cell state to determine apoptotic onset using a plate-reading luminometer.

The GSH/GSSG-Glo™ Assay is a bioluminescent assay to detect and quantitate total glutathione ratios.

The Caspase-Glo ® 3/7 Assay System is  a highly sensitive caspase activity assay for use in plate-reader assays.

The Caspase-Glo ® 1 Inflammasome Assay  directly measures inflammasome activation with a simple add-mix-measure protocol.

Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) is a mechanism of action of antibodies through which virus-infected or other diseased cells are targeted for destruntion by components of the cell-mediated.

The CellTiter-Blue® Cell Viability Assay provides a homogeneous, fluorescent method for monitoring cell viability. The assay is based on the ability of living cells to convert a redox dye (resazurin) into a fluorescent end product (resorufin). Nonviable cells rapidly lose metabolic capacity and thus do not generate a fluorescent signal. The homogeneous assay procedure involves adding the single reagent directly to cells cultur…

The CellTiter 96® AQueous One Solution Cell Proliferation Assay is a colorimetric method for determining the number of viable cells in proliferation, cytotoxicity or chemosensitivity assays. The CellTiter 96® AQueous One Solution Reagent contains a tetrazolium compound [3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt; MTS(a)] and an electron coupling reagent (phenazine ethos…

The Promega CytoTox 96® Non-Radioactive Cytotoxicity Assay is a colorimetric alternative to radioactive cytotoxicity assays. The CytoTox 96® Assay quantitatively measures lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), a stable cytosolic enzyme that is released upon cell lysis, in much the same way as [51Cr] is released in radioactive assays. Released LDH in culture supernatants is measured with a 30-minute coupled enzymatic assay that result…

The GSH-Glo™ Glutathione Assay is a luminescence-based assay for the detection and quantification of glutathione (GSH). The assay is based on the conversion of a luciferin derivative into luciferin in the presence of glutathione, catalyzed by glutathione S-transferase (GST). The signal generated in a coupled reaction with firefly luciferase is proportional to the amount of glutathione present in the sample. Luminescence is gen…
