Also in cooperation with Prof. Pawliszyn, the automation of desorption of the NeedleTrap, developed by him, was realized. NeedleTrap is a needle (usually gauge 22 or 23 with a length of 50 – 80 mm), packed with up to 3 cm sorbents. This standard needle can be packed with a wide range of different packing materials. Typical applications are in the field of VOC analysis.
