Ideal for field and environmental testing, both in the laboratory and on site when analysing the quality of water in drinking or waste water: The TB350 turbidity meter provides the most reliable measurements for low to high range samples without sacrificing accuracy, compliant with applicable standards of ISO & US EPA. Featuring the new sensor technology Multipath 90° BLAC, the optical system is engineered with dual detectors to deliver a ratio reading which mitigates common measurement stability issues.
BLAC®: The darker the better
Our experts solved two fundamental problems in turbidity measuring in a patented and unprecedented way.
The sophisticated arrangement of the two detectors allows the analysis of low and high turbidity samples with unsurpassed accuracy over the complete measuring range up to 4,000 NTU.
The angle of detection remains at 90° throughout the range. This ensures consistent results at any time, regardless of the size and shape of the turbidity-causing particles.
The new BLAC® technology stands for: Backscattered Light Absorbing Cavity.
The trap (BLAC®) eliminates stray light perfectly and provides extremely accurate results for low turbidity down to 0.01 NTU.
Touchscreen interface & function application
The intuitive full-coloured touchscreen interface makes it easy to perform procedures and interpret results. With function applications, you can navigate between settings and performing that function efficiently. This user interface eliminates common frustrations and errors found with competitive products and guarantees outstanding operating convenience with animated procedures. There are 3 reading modes: single, signal averaging, fast-settling.
Data logging & USB
The data logging capabilities allow you to record the testing location, operator’s identification, time and date along with the measurement. Stored data can be transferred to a computer via USB.
Competence in Turbidity
At Lovibond®, we look out for the little things that make a big difference. On the surface, turbidity analysis is a simple measurement. However, there are many factors that can affect the accuracy of readings or the dependability of an instrument. We obsess about turbidity measurement so you don't have to. Our team of globally recognised turbidity experts work to anticipate and solve operators' struggles with turbidity measurement.

Competency in turbidity – Using Multipath 90° BLAC technology
Lovibond®’s newest turbidimeter can be used for a wide range of samples, and provides lab accuracy as a portable solution for turbidity measurement. Discover how Lovibond®’s TB350 IR & TB350 WL uses multipath 90° Back Scattered Light Absorbing Cavity (BLAC)® technology to eliminate stray light and provides accurate results for low turbidity down to 0.01 NTU. The angle of detection stays at 90° over the entire range, so this method remains purely nephelometric. The arrangement of the two detectors allows the analysis of low and high turbidity samples with accuracy over the complete measuring range up to 4000 NTU.
Turbidity analysis with Lovibond
Turbidity in water includes compounds such as clay, silt, organic and inorganic matter, algae, plankton and other microscopic organisms. Turbidity is a well recognised parameter for evaluating water quality and is important for indicating the presence of pathogenic microorganisms or hazards contaminating the water. The World Health Organization (WHO) has published guidelines for quality aspects of drinking water, recommending turbidity values <1 NTU for safe drinking water. Learn more about the industries water turbidity can effect and Lovibond®'s evolution of turbidity products.
Portable water testing with Lovibond
The limit of detection (LOD) and the limit of quantitation (LOQ) are important parameters that need to be determined during method development and validation for any analytical procedure. In water treatment, turbidimeters are used to ensure the LOD and LOQ are within regulation. Explore the Lovibond® TB Series of Portable Turbidimeters that can be used at water treatment plants where the optimized filtration system is employed to deliver LOD and LOQ values that exceed the established criteria in existing regulatory requirements. The Turbidimeters demonstrate the detection and quantification sensitivity that is required for low-level turbidity measurements.
