Built on Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization (SPRI) paramagnetic bead-based technology, the Agencourt RNAdvance Blood system is a ribonucleic acid (RNA) isolation process. It enables the life science community to purify high quality RNA from blood collected using PAXgene tubes. The kit is formatted to process one 96-well plate in about 3.5 hours. The AgencourtRNAdvance Blood system yields significantly more nucleic acid than competitive approaches. TotalRNA extracted from PAXgene-preserved blood using the AgencourtRNAdvance Blood kit is free of detectable gDNA.
Features:
- Produces high quality nucleic acid
- Compatible with downstream gene expression analysis techniques such as qRT-PCR and microarray
- Amenable to automated processing on the Beckman Coulter Biomek FXP/NXP Span-8 Laboratory Automation Workstation
- No use of vacuum filtration or organic extraction
Automation of Micro RNA and Total RNA Purification from Plasma Using the Agencourt RNAdvance Blood Kits and Biomek Span-8 Automated Workstation
This application note from BeckmanCoulter describes the RNAdvance Blood Kits and Biomed Span-8 Automated Workstation in its application for miRNA and total RNA purification. Circulating miRNA in the blood has been described as disease biomarkers which could aid in risk assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of treatment response.
miRNA Enrichment and RNA Size Selection Using SPRI Paramagnetic Bead Technology
This presentation describes a flexible method for miRNA enrichment and RNA size selection using solid phase reversible immunobilization (SPRI) paramagnetic bead technology.
