NextSeq™ 550Dx Next-Generation Sequencing System
The next level in diagnostic power for the clinical lab
Wonderful experience! Installation and ease of use are seamless and customer support is excellent
mab CHO cell line mRNA transcription analysis
I have been using the NextSeq for the past six months, and it has been a wonderful experience. From installation to ease of use, everything has been seamless. The customer support is excellent; they respond quickly to any questions and are very considerate in accommodating our reagent needs. For example, they send reagents with long expiration dates and replace any expiring ones. The instrument itself is very attractive with a modern design and is super easy to operate. The onscreen prompts guide you through the next steps to initiate the run. Once the instrument starts, it provides an onscreen display of progress and the quality of the sequences. After the run, it provides guidelines on how to dismantle and recycle the cartridge components.

Amazing sequencing platform
Oncology
The sequencer is unquestionably a versatile and high-quality tool in the field of genetics. Its ability to analyze and decode DNA sequences is impressive, offering precise and reliable results. However, it is important to note that this sequencer is designed to be used exclusively by expert hands. Its complexity and level of sophistication require a deep understanding of sequencing techniques.

The NextSeq 550Dx instrument is FDA regulated and CE-in vitro diagnostic (IVD) marked, enabling clinical laboratories to develop and perform a wide range of applications, from NGS IVD assays using targeted panels, to clinical research applications that include methods from targeted panels to whole genomes.
Flexibility of Dual Operating Modes
Work within a regulated sequencing workflow for developing diagnotic tests and leveraging future NGS IVD tests in the pipeline, while retaining the flexibility to work in a research environment and use the full range of Illumina sequencing methods for a wide range of applications.
Consistency of a Clinical Instrument
The instrument and sequencing reagents are all regulated by the FDA, developed under design control principles, manufactured under Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and verified for consistent assay performance.
Design Your Own NGS Assays for Use on the NextSeq 550Dx System
Paired with the TruSeq Custom Amplicon Kit Dx library preparation kit and the NextSeq 550Dx Reagent Kit, the NextSeq 550Dx is part of an IVD development toolkit that enables clinical labs to design clinical assays with regulated components.
